OFS CHAPTER IN DUBLIN

Today, the National Election of the Franciscan Third Order took place. The Chapter was presided over by Dina Francesca OFS, a member of the General Council. Also present were Br. Ronan Sharply, OFM and a representative of Youfra who had just returned from the Franciscan Camino pilgrimage to Assisi and participated in the Mass celebrated by Pope Leo in Saint Mary of the Angels Basilica. Br. Godfrey Pereira,OFM,Cap National Spiritual Advisor to the OFS presided at the Chapter. Br. Colin OFM,Conv from Fairview Parish acted as moderator for the Chapter. The newly elected National Minister and Council are: * National Minister: Gabriel Costello * Vice Minister: Terence Cosgrave * Secretary: Mary Tiernan * Treasurer: Jackie Corr * Formation Director: Jim Maher * JPIC: Lorraine O’Shea * Communications and Vocations: Mary Tunney May the good Lord guide them with wisdom and knowledge as they carry out their responsibilities.
